Why is Council changing how facilities are booked?
Booking online allows you to make bookings 24 hours a day from the comfort of your own home, using any digital device. You can also compare features and prices across available facilities to ensure you can find the venue that best meets the requirements of your event.
Will there still be booking support available over the phone?
Yes. You are still able to phone for assistance with your booking and speak with a staff member during business hours. Please phone 1300 345 345.
Can I still book over-the-counter?
Yes. You can come into any of our Council offices located in Berridale, Bombala, Cooma or Jindabyne, as well as the Cooma Visitors Centre.
Can I make multiple bookings?
Yes. As part of the online booking form, you can set your booking to recur and select the frequency of recurrence as well as select specific dates and times.
What details do I need to provide online in order to make a booking?
You need to provide your name, date of birth, email, phone and address.
Will I receive a receipt and booking confirmation?
Once you’ve paid, you’ll receive a receipt by email, which includes contact information for a Booking Officer and a link to important information. Bookings will only be confirmed once you’ve paid and we’ve checked the documentation.
Do I need to book before I arrive?
Yes. Bookings and payment must be made ahead of time.
Can you bring dogs to public facilities?
Outside of assistance animals, dogs aren’t allowed at organised sporting events. There are signs at each facility that explain what is and isn’t allowed. Generally, no pets are allowed inside facilities, except for assistance animals as explained in the Companion Animals Act 1998.
Can I have exclusive use of public open spaces?
Council managed lands cannot be closed to the public. The booking system prevents multiple organised events trying to use the same place at the same time, but doesn’t, and can’t, give you exclusive use of a public area.
When are the sporting seasons?
Summer: 1 October through to 31 March
Winter: 1 April through to 30 September
Maintenance shutdown periods, what are they and why do they take place?
Maintenance shutdown periods are carried out to allow seasonal maintenance works to be completed and are scheduled throughout the year. Facilities and public areas will be unavailable to book during these times.
Are there alcohol restrictions in public places?
Yes. Restrictions known as Alcohol Free Zones / Alcohol Prohibited Areas are declared in line with the Local Government Act 1993. These restrictions are enforced by NSW Police.
There are signs at each of our public spaces that explain the specific restrictions for each place.
Are your caravan parks and camping grounds pet friendly?
Dogs are permitted in our parks as long as they are kept on a leash at all times. Dogs are not permitted in the cabins or caravans that we rent out.
What are the check in and check out times at your caravan parks?
Check in at 2pm, check out at 10am.
What happens if I am early or late to a caravan park?
Please contact our caravan park staff to discuss after-hours check-in.
Do your caravan parks and camping grounds have a dump point?
Our Bombala Caravan Park is the only site that has a dump point. We suggest that you download the app Australian Dump Point Finder from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (on your smartphone or tablet) for dump point locations.
What are the pool seasons?
Our pools in Adaminaby, Berridale and Bombala open for the summer season on the 3rd Saturday in November. The season closes on the 3rd Saturday in March.
Our indoor swimming pool in Jindabyne is open all year round, but is currently closed for maintenance.
